TURKENFELD, Germany, Dec. 29, 2018 — Optically Diffuse MaterialThe ODM98 optically diffuse material (OP.DI.MA) from Gigahertz-Optik GmbH is a durable, cleanable, white optical-grade synthetic used in lighting design, laser, and reflection/transmission applications.

Besides exhibiting a nearly perfect diffuse reflectance of >98 percent from 400 to 1600 nm and >95 percent from 250 to 2000 nm, the material features uniform reflectance across a wide spectral range and over its entire area. Other key features include usefulness in high-temperature applications, UV stability over long exposures, and working ability under intense radiation flux densities.

OP.DI.MA. is available in different thicknesses of foil, block, cylinder, square, or round plate form. Precision machining services are available from the factory or raw stock may be purchased for self-machining by the end-user.
