BERLIN, Jan. 14, 2021 — Optics and Photonics Design SoftwareVPIphotonics GmbH has released Version 11.1 of its Design Suite software for optical transmission systems and photonic components.

The software provides access to professional application-specific simulation tools and several pluggable toolkit extensions with common usability, design process, and data analysis capabilities. The update offers advances in simulation and design flow for applications using probabilistically shaped quadrature amplitude modulation with polarization multiplexing, digital signal processing, PAM4 signaling, transient SPICE simulations, integrated optical modulators, multimode fibers and couplers, and more.

The software can be used in R&D and design projects for both commercial and education purposes.
