Prior Scientific, a manufacturer of microscopes, programmable motorized stages and fiber-optic microscopy inspection equipment, has introduced the next generation in microscope automation control -- the ES10 OptiScanII controller with USB.
New features of the controller include an upgraded drive circuitry that provides substantially smoother and quieter motion and an available 
DLL (Dynamic Link Library) for writing new code. The ES10 OptiScanII’s space-saving design houses drives for a motorized stage, focus, two filter wheels and three shutters which eliminate the need to upgrade the controller when adding additional components such as filter wheels.
As with the original OptiScan controller, the OptiScanII is compatible with leading image analysis software programs and comes standard with all five axes populated with stepper drives. The OptiScanII maintains the plug & play technology which simplifies installation and future upgrades and also offers two RS232 ports with compatibility for both the CS100K filter wheel keypad and the CS152KB touchscreen keypad controller.
