SANTA CLARA, Calif., Dec. 19, 2022 — The Spica™ Gen2 800-Gbps PAM4 electro-optics platform from Marvell Technology Inc. is designed to boost bandwidth and performance in cloud data centers.

The integrated platform is built on 5-nm process technology with companion transimpedance amplifiers and a driver to deliver power savings and advance the transition to 800-Gbps networking inside the data center. PAM4 digital signal processors inside the pluggable transceiver modules link optical networks by fine-tuning signals to maintain data integrity over communication links up to 10 km in distance.
