LightWorks Optical Systems Inc. introduces the Owl-IR line, its first commercially available longwave IR F1.0 fixed-focus objective lenses. They are suitable for a range of IR technology applications.

Camera compatible, they are designed with low f-number and color correction, allowing more light to reach the image sensor. They also include internal features to reduce stray light. The exterior lens surface has a hard carbon coating.

Produced in standard focal lengths of 18, 25, 50, 75 and 100 mm, the lenses offer modulation transfer function performance for high-resolution focal-plane-array formats over an operating spectral range of 8 to 14 µm.
