An expanded line of electro-optic packaged components has been unveiled by Tyco Electronics. Included are 1310-nm Fabry-Perot lasers and 1310-nm PIN diodes in packaging styles such as TO-56 and metalized receptacles with LC and SC interfaces. The components comply with Telcordia GR-468-CORE specifications. The TO-56 lasers and LC metalized receptacles are rated for up to 2.5 Gb/s in operating conditions from -40 to 85 °C. Case- and common-anode pin-out options are available on all components.
