SAN JOSE, Calif., March 25, 2022 — A suite of 53-Gbaud PAM4 Driver Integrated Circuits (ICs) has been announced by NeoPhotonics Corp.

The linear, differential drivers are based on gallium arsenide and optimized for 1 × 100 Gbps, 4 × 100 Gbps, and 8 × 100 Gbps PAM4-based applications. They feature high output voltage of >3.4 Vppd, low crosstalk, high gain, bandwidth of >35 GHz supporting 53 Gbaud and low total harmonic distortion. The drivers provide high linearity and maintain Quaternary Transmitter Dispersion Eye Closure, making them well-suited for modulate silicon photonics Mach-Zender Modulators in 400-G data center transceivers.
