Matrox Imaging has announced the Matrox Clarity UHD, a single-slot peripheral component interconnect express (PCIe) frame grabber. It provides Mini DisplayPort, high-definition Bayonet Neill-Concelman, HDMI and custom analog digital visual interface connectivity for standard-, high- and ultrahigh-definition video sources.

The device can simultaneously acquire multiple video streams, with optional encoding using H.264 baseline to high 4:4:4 predictive profiles for video storage and distribution.

The device is designed for medical imaging, surveillance and training simulation systems.
