BOCA RATON, Fla., Dec. 19 -- Imperx Inc.'s VCE-B5A01 and VCE-PRO frame grabbers enable portable video imaging by slipping into PCMCIA slots in laptop computers, palmtop computers, PDAs and other mobile computing devices.
The VCE-B5A01 is a PCMCIA PC video capture card for PDAs and laptops supporting standard analog NTSC or PAL interfaces. Other VCE-B5A01 features include:
- PCMCIA 2.1, JEIDA 4.1 compliant
- Video capture with selectable window sizes
- 2 Composite or 1 S-Video inputs
- NTSC, PAL or RS170 video standards
- Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP, or CE 2.0
- Twain, WDM, DirectX, Labview, VXD
The VCE-PRO is a professional, fast PCMCIA Cardbus video capture card for laptops that supports a standard NTSC and PAL as well as SECAM analog interfaces. It features plug-and-play operation with hot insertion/removal. The board also has intelligent scatter/gather DMA engines with a generous supply of on-board memory.
Other VCE-PRO features include:
- PCMCIA Cardbus 8.0, 32-bit PCI bus operating at 33 MHz
- Intelligent scatter/gather DMA for fast, efficient use of PCI bus bandwidth
- Fast video capture (30 f/s)
- Selectable window sizes
- External trigger input
- 2 composite or 2S video inputs
- NTSC, PAL, SECAM and RS170 video standards
- Windows 2000 and Windows XP compatible
- Twain, WDM, DirectX, Labview compliant
Both models come with drivers and SDK and application software, and both include the following:
- Plug-and-play, hot insertion and removal
- Adjustable image brightness, contrast, saturation, hue
- Captures single, multiple frames or AVI clips
- Normal or delay capture, overlay options
- Image viewer with DVR controls
- Auto NTSC/PAL format detection
