Photodiodes in the X-tra Small line, released by Albis Optoelectronics AG, measure 300 × 350 µm, produce typical low bias voltages of 1.5 V and, because of the small chip footprint, occupy less space on TO-headers. Three designs are offered: model PDCS80T-XS, with a 5-GHz bandwidth for digital and analog FTTx receivers and 4-Gb fiber channel modules; the PDCS60T-XS, with a 60-µm active area and a 10-GHz bandwidth; and the PDCS32T-XS photodiode chip, with a 12-GHz bandwidth for 10 Gigabit Ethernet, 10-Gb Fibre Channel and OC-192/STM-64 applications.
