Lumera Laser GmbH announces its Staccato picosecond solid-state diode-pumped laser, which produces 10 W at 1064 nm and can be focused to a spot diameter of <20 µm. The laser can be used for micromachining applications that are typically performed with femtosecond lasers and requires only a single electrical connection. It is designed for 10,000 h of hands-off operation in industrial conditions. The device has a pulse duration of <15 ps, pulse energies up to 500 µJ, a maximum repetition rate of 50 kHz and beam quality of M2 <1.5.
