Emco High Voltage Co.'s new nine-stage, 11-pin, 28-mm PMT socket features a high-performance, high-voltage power supply and a low-noise, low-leakage dynode string. The power supply has 0 to 100% linear programmability via a 0- to 5-V remote control signal. Output voltage stability is <50 ppm/°C and typically runs <10 ppm/°C. Ripple is specified at <0.001% peak to peak. A 1000:1 output monitor provides a constant indicator of high voltage with an accuracy of >1% and a temperature coefficient of <50 ppm/°C.
