Clairex Technologies Inc. has introduced the CLE333, an 850-nm collimated radiation point source emitter with a beam angle of <±1° at the half-power points. The lens is designed to provide a sharply focused beam pattern that can project a spot 3 in. in diameter on a surface 10 feet away. The chip is mounted in a TO-46 hermetic package with the cathode common to the case. Typical rise and fall time is 4 ns, typical irradiance is 0.45 mW/cm2 at lF = 50 mA, and typical VF is 1.6 V at lF = 50 mA.
