Lightwaves2020.jpgLightwaves2020 Inc. has introduced a polarimeter with a small form factor and no moving parts. It outputs four photocurrents that can be used to calculate the state and degree of polarization. Covering the operating wavelength range from 1520 to 1610 nm, it offers good optical performance, including low dark current, low insertion loss, low wavelength dependence and wide dynamic optical power range. Suitable for integration into polarization measuring and stabilizing modules, the device is designed for use in polarization division multiplexing, polarization mode dispersion compensation and fiber sensing systems.
