Polarization measurement and analysis systems designed for the IR wavelengths (1525 to 1575 nm) are available from Optellios Inc. Equipped with compact stand-alone heads, the Polarimeter series PS2000B models have a measurement rate of 200 samples per second and are controlled with RS-232 using the company's graphic interface. The devices have no moving parts, a 1% typical error rate, dynamic range of >50 dB, a normalized Stokes vector, and a dynamic/configurable Poincaré sphere and vector tracer. They can perform PDL, PMD and polarization extinction ratio measurements.
