The MPC1 motorized polarization controller from FiberControl is suitable for component testing and polarization-mode dispersion applications. The device offers an insertion loss of <1.00 dB and polarization-dependent loss of <0.002 dB. Front-panel and GPIB interfaces provide access to a variety of choices, including four rotational resolutions, more than 250 AutoScan rates and a Stokes transit time of 2880°/s. The controller is powered by 85 to 264 VAC and is available with one or two channels.
