Meller Optics Inc. is offering a line of high-purity calcined alumina polishing abrasives for grinding, lapping and polishing a variety of hard and semisoft optical substrates. The Microlux abrasives come in regular and deagglomerated grades and in seven particle sizes from 0.05 to 3.0 µm. Microlux-R's large particles are suitable for grinding and lapping, then break down under pressure for final polishing. Microlux-RZ has controlled particle sizes for fine grinding and uniform polishing.
