A miniature fiber optic spectroradiometer has been released by StellarNet Inc. The EPP2000 is portable and interfaces to a computer's enhanced printer port. It is available in a concave grating UV+VIS unit for the 190- to 850-nm range and a ruled grating VIS+NIR unit for the 350- to 1150-nm range. Up to eight units can be attached on a single cable in any combination of optical configurations, and all units can request simultaneous scans. Each model has its own analog-to-digital converter and 2050-wavelength scan memory, allowing development of synoptic multichannel applications.
