ZURICH, April 12, 2013 — Albis Optoelectronics AG’s PQW30A-S is a short-wavelength, high-speed microwave photodiode module designed for direct optical-to-electrical conversion of radio frequency (RF)-modulated optical signals.
The system provides a typical bandwidth of 33 GHz, and the optical input is supplied through a single-mode 9/125-mm fiber pigtail with an angle-polished, low-reflection FC/APC connector. The RF output is provided through a K-connector.
The small-pigtailed device comprises a high-performance GaAs PIN photodiode that operates from 800 to 900 nm. Features include a hermetically sealed high-speed package, responsivity of 0.5 A/W and an operating bias of 2.5 V.
