The Reaction RamanProbe from InPhotonics Inc. is a Raman fiber optic device for monitoring laboratory and industrial reactions up to 200 °C. The 5/8-in.-diameter probe, made of stainless steel or Hastelloy C, shields the focusing and filtering optics from corrosive solutions at pressures up to 2000 psi. The optics are located at the tip of the probe to prevent throughput losses, and the sapphire window is compression-welded to the metal sleeve. Probes are available in 13- or 17-in. lengths or in customized configurations. There are versions for six excitation wavelengths, and SMA, ST or FC connectors allow coupling to almost any Raman spectrometer.
