Vision Components GmbH has introduced a miniature progressive-scan, 50-fps CCD camera for industrial applications. The VCM50 has a 640 x 480-pixel resolution Sony CCD sensor for capturing images during fast movement and can image up to 200 fps when every second or fourth line is captured. The device can be programmed in C or parameterized for existing machine vision application programs. Its housing integrates LED ringlighting, optics and the CCD sensor with binning and processor. The camera is designed to withstand vibration, shock and extreme temperatures.
