Pharad has added the PTX-030-500 radio-frequency photonic transmitter and the PRX-030-500 radio-frequency (RF) photonic receiver to its family of RF over Fiber products, which are suitable for applications including wireless backhaul, antenna remoting, ultrawideband analog communications and RF distribution systems for defense platforms.

Used together, the devices support the fiber optic transport of RF signals over the ultrawideband frequency range of 3 to 50 GHz. They feature multioctave bandwidths, low loss and low noise figure, the company says.
