The PE9 pyroelectric detector introduced by Ophir Optronics Inc. measures pulses up to 15 µs long with a repetition rate of up to 4 kHz and pulse energies from 0.2 µJ to 1 mJ with repetition rates of up to 4000 Hz. Other specifications include spectral response from 0.19 to 12 µm, energy scales of 2, 20 and 200 µJ and 1 mJ, and average power of up to 2 W. The system is compatible with the Laserstar series displays.
