KENLEY, UK, June 10, 2015 —
Designed to collimate broadband light, off-axis parabolic mirrors from Optical Surfaces Ltd. are manufactured for demanding tolerances.
The mirrors are commonly used as collimators in imaging systems, high-power laser focusing, astronomy, beam expansion, and bore sight alignment for missile guidance systems. Depending on the surface accuracy required, a natural limit to the off-axis angle can be achieved around 25 to 30° with surface microroughness of less than 1 nm.
A range of coatings is available, from metallic to multilayer dielectrics, suiting all applications.
