Optical Parametric AmplifierCoherent Inc. has announced the Opera-F optical parametric amplifier, delivering wide tuning, high conversion efficiency and sub-100 fs pulse duration when pumped by the Monaco high-performance ytterbium ultrafast amplifier.

Signal output is tunable from 650 to 900 nm, and the idler is tunable from 1200 to 2500 nm. When pumped at 40 W, the Opera-F provides 3-W power, 3-μJ pulse energy and a 1-MHz maximum pulse repetition rate, making it ideal for scientific experiments needing high data acquisition rates or a high level of signal averaging.

The Opera-F is also ideal for advanced multiphoton microscopy studies in neuroscience, multibeam imaging setups using a spatial light modulator and liquid phase pump-probe experiments including solvation mechanics and studies of advanced solid-state materials for light harvesting, displays and semiconductor industry.
