Parametric oscillators
Radiantis Light SLRequest Info
Radiantis has introduced Opium, a synchronously pumped optical parametric oscillator that produces near-transform-limited pulses of 100-fs duration at 580 nm, average power of ~150 mW and beam diameter of ~1.2 mm. With a set of optics incorporating a Ti:sapphire pump source, the device is tunable from 700 to 1020 nm. An integrated frequency doubler permits UV emission from 350 to 500 nm, and attachments that allow tuning from 500 to 700 nm and from 1020 to 2600 nm also are available. The company says that, with high sensitivity and room-temperature functioning, the device is suitable for biology and chemistry applications.
