ThermoFisher Scientific Inc. has launched its BindIt 3.1 software for use with its KingFisher magnetic particle processor instruments. Users can create new purification protocols or modify existing ones, and the software enables the KingFisher Flex to interface with robotics and with liquid handling and plate stacking instruments. With ready-made and validated purification protocols, the software lets users choose the best method for a sample process. Created custom protocols can be stored in a PC database and transferred to the KingFisher instrument’s memory for stand-alone operation or can be run directly from the PC. All process steps have modifiable defined parameters, and users can generate a status report to maintain quality control. Users can upgrade previous software to BindIt 3.1 for free by visiting the company’s Web site.
