Aculight said its Perseus pulsed fiber lasers, available in 2- and 4-W versions, offer high-peak-power eyesafe output from a compact, rugged package. Their all-fiber design provides customers with a more efficient, robust and compact source than traditional laser technologies, the company said.

Perseus-jpeg_lores.JPGApplications include sensing, surveying and surveillance. Each unit, the M33L-1541 (2W) and M36L-1541 (4 W) , produces 2- to 6-ns pulses at repetition rates from 20 to 500 kHz. They generate over 60 µJ at 20 kHz, and their 1.54-µm output is diffraction-limited.

Perseus fiber lasers measure just 2.6 (H) x 6 (W) x 7 in (D) and weigh less than five pounds. They are also available in custom configurations.

Features include:

• Self-contained, hermetically sealed packages
• Low jitter
• Optical trigger out (T0)
• -40 to 60 °C operation
