The R&S FSPN50 from Rohde & Schwarz is a phase noise analyzer and voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) measurer for testing commercial point-to-point wireless and microwave communication systems, satellite communications, military satellite and communication systems, and close-range targeting radars. Able to measure frequencies up to 50 GHz, the tester provides both high-speed measurements and accuracy for characterizing sources such as synthesizers, VCOs, OCXOs and DROs. The R&S FSPN50 is based on two low noise internal local oscillators enabling real-time cross correlation that can be increased or reduced for higher accuracy or lower speed. VCO measurements are enabled by three low-noise DC sources.
