Photoacoustic Microscope Laser
Advantest Corp.Request Info
A dual-wavelength laser for the Hadatomo™ Z photoacoustic microscope from Advantest Corp. enables 3D imaging of melanin and vascular networks in the skin.
With wavelengths of 575 and 650 nm, the laser’s proprietary wavelength conversion technology is based on optical parametric generation. The wavelengths feature a high hemoglobin absorption coefficient, are suitable for imaging the vascular network, and also have a high melanin absorption coefficient for melanin and the vascular network to be imaged at the same time. The laser's light source and power supply are compact enough to be easily mounted on the microscope.
Applications include dermatological research, cosmetology, and medical research.
