Toshiba America Electronics Components Inc. has announced the TLP2768A, a high-speed photocoupler that offers protection against extreme operating temperatures.

The device is capable of sustaining data rates up to 20 Mbps, making it suitable for use in high-speed communication interfaces in measurement and control equipment, factory automation systems and plasma display panels. It features a temperature range of −40 to 125° C, enabling it to be used in compact industrial equipment that contains a greater density of components and higher internal temperatures.

The TLP2768A supports both 3.3- and 5.5-V power supplies, making it compatible with a range of existing industrial applications and ensuring that it meets the needs of new and emerging low-voltage designs.
