KOMAKI, Aichi, Japan, March 9, 2015 — Santec MPA-100A rack-mountable pigtailed photodetector array from Santec is useful for many 40- and 100-Gigabit Ethernet applications.

The highly integrated MPA-100 is available with up to 80 channels. It has operating wavelengths of 850 nm or 1260 to 1610 nm, an optical input range from -50 to 3 dBm per channel and an optical noise limit of -63dBm at 1550 nm.

The Tap-PD model, with input and output optical fibers and partial tapped power detection, is also available in custom.

Applications include testing and monitoring of transceivers (SR4, SR10, LR4 and ER4) for data communications, broadband, cable television and telecommunications, as well as monitoring in data center equipment and active optical cables.
