Photofabrication Engineering Inc. has introduced a range of photoetched titanium medical parts, including maxillofacial and craniofacial treatments, cardiovascular devices, structural components and intravascular stents. The parts are chemically machined, enabling greater repeatability in the manufacturing process and allowing tolerances to within 10% of the material thickness. The biocompatible parts are available from 0.050 to 6 in.2 and in thicknesses from 0.001 to 0.060 in. Stainless steel and nickel parts also are available.
