Vertilon-Corp.jpgVertilon Corp. has unveiled the SIB064 sensor interface board for the Hamamatsu H8500D 64-anode photomultiplier tube (PMT). For typical applications such as PET, single-photon-emission CT and small-animal imaging, the PMT is plugged into the interface board, and the PMT’s 64 anode signals are carried from the interface board to a 64-channel data acquisition system such as the company’s Photoniq IQSP482. With both the interface board and acquisition system, several functions can be performed onboard without expensive external equipment.
