Photon Counting Sensor and CameraGigajot Technology Inc.’s QIS41 camera, built around the GJ04122 sensor, pairs well with standard 4/3-in. microscopy optics, bringing high resolution and low-light performance to scientific and industrial imaging applications.

The 41-MP GJ04122 sensor provides a 2.2-μm pixel, a read noise of 0.35 electrons and a single-exposure dynamic range of 95 dB. The sensor is capable of photon counting and photon number resolving up to its top speed of 30 fps at full resolution, providing flexibility for binning and additional post-processing, while maintaining a read noise that is still lower than native lower resolution sensors. The QIS41 camera has a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface and is capable of true photon counting at room temperature.
