PhotosensorThe P13567-01CT photo IC photosensor from Hamamatsu Corp. combines an NIR-LED and an InGaAs PIN photodiode to provide an ultra-compact package measuring 5.5 × 1.7 × 1.0 mm.

The LED emits 1.45-μm IR light onto a target object, and the reflected light is detected by the InGaAs PIN photodiode. The photodiode’s signal is then output digitally through an I2C interface. Other features include low-voltage operation, low-current consumption, a built-in 16-bit analog-to-digital converter and a built-in LED driver.

The P13567-01CT is suitable for NIR applications including moisture analysis and NIR photometry.
