IRVINE, Calif., April 29, 2015 — Newport D-shaped pickoff mirrorsSuitable for picking off closely spaced laser beams, D-shaped pickoff mirrors from Newport Corp. are offered with two standard broadband dielectric coatings that cover the visible and near-infrared ranges, as well as four metallic coatings.

The mirrors’ reflective coating extends completely to the straight edge. The BD.1 coating reflects all visible laser lines from 488 to 694 nm with greater than 99 percent efficiency for s-polarization and 98-percent efficiency for p-polarization at angles of incidence from 0° to 45°.

The metallic coatings cover 250 to 600 nm for UV-enhanced aluminum, 450 to 700 nm for enhanced aluminum, 480 to 20,000 nm for protected silver and 650 to 20,000 nm for protected gold.
