MADISON, Wis., Aug. 29, 2013 — Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc.’s picoSpin 80 spectrometer provides nearly double the analytical power of its predecessor, picoSpin 45, making it easier for researchers in academic, industrial and R&D labs to collect routine high-resolution nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) data on molecules in solution.

Built for benchtop operation, the instrument’s lightweight, portable design makes it easy to share across multiple labs. Its temperature-controlled magnet, rated at 2 T, does not require liquid cryogens, and its easy-to-operate fluid capillary system does not require NMR tubes or other consumables.
