DENVER, Dec. 24, 2021 — Plasma Power GeneratorAdvanced Energy Industries Inc. has expanded its range of plasma power generators with the Ascent® SMS Advanced Pulsing 10-kW pulsed direct-current power supply, combining power and control capabilities with PowerInsight embedded process optimization software.

The compact power supply brings arc management and precise plasma control to challenging thin-film deposition applications ranging from semiconductor to solar photovoltaic manufacturing. It features a wide safe operating area with peak voltages up to 1200 V and frequencies from 0.5 to 150 kHz. Its four-block progressive arc management system with a full voltage reversal provides low arc energy with available self-adjusting arc parameters.
