Polarized Multilaser Module
Blue Sky ResearchRequest Info
Blue Sky Research is accepting orders for its new SpectraTec dual-source polarized laser module. The device integrates a precision feedback system that allows polarization-maintaining fiber to be used with better than 0.5% power stability at the exit end of the fiber. Long-term precision and power stability are achieved via an integrated assembly of all-fiber technology, power monitors and a low-noise electrical feedback control loop.
The instrument is designed for applications that require multiple laser wavelengths as well as reliable and stable laser sources. The technology offers a co-located light source for both wavelengths, with no possibility of independent beam wandering over a wide range of temperature environments. The system never needs alignment.
Each SpectraTec system incorporates two semiconductor lasers; permanent fiber coupling technology; the electronics needed to operate, protect and stabilize the laser; and a single-mode or polarization-maintaining single-mode fiber as the output.
Available laser wavelengths include violet, blue, green, red and infrared (405 to 980 nm). The permanent fiber alignment and compact footprint make the system suitable for OEM integration. The laser is temperature-stabilized with a thermoelectric cooler, and the integrated controller features a laser driver, output power stabilization, power level control, reverse and overvoltage protection, fast transient and electrostatic discharge suppression.
To optimize customer system performance, the company will modify the output optics to match the beam.
