Precise Prism Angle Measurement

TRIOPTICS´ PrismMaster® PrismMaster® from TRIOPTICS is a series of versatile high precision-goniometers for optical angle measurements on prisms, polygons and wedges. Their automated measurement process ensures fast and operator-independent measurements. The overall concept of the PrismMaster® series follows the simple philosophy to provide a user-friendly high-precision instrument with unrivalled levels of accuracy. With an accuracy of up to 0.25 arc seconds, the PrismMaster® is the world’s most accurate goniometer. For routine measurements in the production process, the system can simply be fed with prism data from a database. The measurement of difficult or unknown samples is notably simplified, and the software reliably prevents false measurements by distinguishing between internal and first surface reflections.

The PrismMaster® portfolio includes high-precision-goniometers for different measurement purposes and applications. For highest accuracy the PrismMaster® 300 HR is the best choice. Its outstanding absolute accuracy is achieved in a single measurement which leads to significant time-saving. Economic efficiency and a space-saving design are strong arguments for the PrismMaster® 150 HR. Large samples with a diameter of up to 420 mm can easily be adapted with the PrismMaster® 300 HR MAX with its motorized height adjustment stage.

TRIOPTICS´ PrismMaster®  achieves highest accuracy as well as high repeatability of measurement results. This is realized by using a high precision electronic autocollimator with large measuring range and optimized light intensity combined with a high resolution camera. Moreover, the stable granite frame for all measuring parts guarantees utmost mechanical and thermal stability.

Another feature ensuring the high precision is the ultra-stable and accurate rotary air bearing and the high performance angular encoder. Innovative software contributes to precise transmission measurement results and refractive index calculations. Laborious adjustments are eliminated due to software automated sample tilt compensation. Additionally, roof prism adaptors and small prism adaptors are available for further deviation measurements.
