Developed for the control of sheet metal parts in press hardening, the Press-Check automated thermographic inspection system from InfraTec allows for high stability and rigidity of the components while reducing sheet thickness.
Metal parts are cooled during the press-hardening process so that the component’s microstructures are modified until the desired material properties can be achieved. High-resolution thermal imaging cameras of different spectral ranges guarantee a reliable long-term measurement of temperature distribution.
All components classified as faulty by the evaluation are reported and sorted robotically, resulting in a significant reduction of rejection rates, which leads to a significant cost reduction and increase of productivity.
