TOKYO, Oct. 30, 2021 — Pressure SensorMacnica GmbH has announced the InvenSense ICP-20100, a microelectromechanical barometric pressure sensor platform from TDK Corp. that accurately measures height differences as small as 5 cm.

Suitable for smartphones, tablets, drones, augmented and virtual reality, smart home appliances and more, the system combines a barometric pressure and a temperature sensor in a 2 × 2 × 0.8-mm package. It can operate over wide temperature ranges and deliver measurement accuracies required by a variety of applications including 3D geolocation and emergency location services, mobile indoor/outdoor navigation, sport and fitness activity tracking, and altitude-hold in drones.
