HidenAnalytical.jpgDesigned to work with the ESPion electrostatic Langmuir probe, Hiden Analytical Ltd. has introduced the ESP-soft probe-control software. Measuring ion and electron density, electron temperature distribution, and plasma uniformity for industrial applications and academic research, the software controls timing circuitry for temporal measurements in pulsed plasmas. Users may acquire data from individual runs or may set up in advance experiments containing multiple runs, associating distinct parameters and conditions with each run. Possible mathematical operations include squaring, smoothing, differentiation and specialized Langmuir probe analysis functions. Once the data is acquired and stored, the program enables users to carry out automated analyses and to display the data for presentation.
