Toshiba Imaging Systems Div. has launched the IK-TF series progressive-scan cameras for color area-scan machine vision applications. The IK-TF5P2 features VGA, 659 × 494-pixel output at 59.94 fps; the IK-TF7P2 delivers XGA, 1024 × 768-pixel output at 29.18 fps. The compact 3-CCD, one-piece cameras feature expanded digital processing capabilities.
They integrate Power over Camera Link (PoCL), digital output and reduced power requirements. The electronic shutter and white balance can be controlled manually or in auto mode. The partial scanning function increases frame rates up to 250 fps. Other features include electronic noise reduction, digital shading correction, dual-power input (PoCL or 12 VDC), a C-mount lens, and on-screen and remote RS-232 control.
The cameras provide precise color accuracy, high sensitivity and high resolution of fast-moving objects. With their proprietary three-chip prism design, they are suitable for color area-scan applications in machine vision, inspection, process control and factory automation.
