The Ostar Projection Power LED from Osram Opto Semiconductors GmbH is a monochrome light source, available in red, converted green and blue.

Projection LEDAt 36 A pulsed, the typical brightness of the LED is 4500 lm for the red version, 1000 lm for the green version and 33 W for the blue version. The external dimensions are 27 × 16 × 2.1 mm.

Standard office projectors with luminous intensities of 2500 to 3500 lm can now have LEDs as their sole light source. Each LED consists of six chips with an area of 2 mm2, operated in parallel. A small thermal resistance of <0.5 kW is featured.
