Alphanov – Optical and Laser Technological Center has released its PDM series pulse-on-demand OEM modules, which produce optical pulses with controlled temporal shape. From single shot to continuous wave, with pulse lengths from 1.5 ns to any required pulse burst configuration, they reproduce exactly the user’s input TTL/LVTTL numerical signal with nanosecond rise times and up to 1.7-W peak power. Available wavelengths are 976, 1030, 1064 and 1075 nm, repetition rate is up to 250 MHz, and beam quality is M2 <1.2. Minimum full width half maximum pulse width at 150-mW peak power is 1.5 ns, and maximum spectral bandwidth is 1 nm. The modules feature manual and analog signal peak power adjustment and options including polarized fiber, an output isolator and a narrow emission bandwidth of <30 MHz.
