Femtolasers Produktions GmbH has added the FemtoSource scientific XL 650 chirped pulse oscillator to its scientific XL family. Designed for applications requiring high pulse energies, the device delivers >650 nJ in <50 fs at megahertz repetition rates. Based on proprietary and patented technology, it has an extended cavity through which a stretched pulse circulates, allowing the energy to build up to high levels without causing instabilities. The company’s patented dispersive mirror technology renders low-loss intracavity dispersion to deliver a broad bandwidth. Applications include materials processing, coherent terahertz generation, time-resolved spectroscopy and multiphoton processes.
