SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 6, 2017 — Pulsed Fiber LaserThe FP 010 pulsed fiber laser from Coherent | Rofin is a 1-kW device that delivers a maximum pulse energy of 100 mJ.

The FP 010 delivers energy at pulse widths between 10 and 100 ns, with repetition rates ranging from 10 to 30 kHz. A beam parameter product of <24 mm × mrad for a 400-μm, round-core output fiber enables the power to be effectively concentrated into small focused spot sizes.

The laser is ideal for ablation, surface cleaning and precision material and coating removal in a range of applications such as AlSi removal from tailored blank parts prior to welding, edge deletion for thin-film solar cells, mold cleaning, aerospace components and other precision parts, as well as other surface cleaning, activation and structuring uses.
