BEDFORD, N.H., July 7, 2021 — Pyroelectric DetectorThe L2200D1810-JH pyroelectric detector from Laser Components Inc. makes H2 flames visible to the human eye.

The component includes a newly developed filter combination for IR emissions at 2.95 µm, which allows for the detection of hot water molecules produced during the combustion of hydrogen. A built-in reference prevents false alarms.

Applications include automotive and energy uses.
